This site is entirely dedicated to the memory of the soldiers, women and men, who were the glorious actors of the “SUSSEX Plan” conceived by General Eisenhower’s Staff Officers, in March 1943, with the aim of facilitating the operations of the Liberation of France.

These soldiers, all volunteers, often worked under conditions very perilous, showing an unfailing bravery without limits, for a great number of them who made the supreme sacrifice, without never denouncing their comrades.

The documents or objects displayed and presented in this site are there to best illustrate the hard combat achieved of all those women and men to whom we owe the Freedom we enjoy today that was so dearly acquired by them.

“Their patriotism was the purest essence, and the courage they showed will never be exceeded by the courage of any man.”

Colonel Francis Pickens Miller
